Vi Cowden was one of only 1,074 women to become a W.A.S.P
(Women Airforce Service Pilots) during WWII.
They were the first women in United States history to fly military planes.
She was then chosen to be one 1 of only 104 women
who flew FIGHTER PLANES - including the iconic P-51.
